Sachiya Steel International is one of the Leading Manufacturer And Exporter Of High Quality Brass Round Bars, which may also be prone to ‘knife line attack’ in the heat – affected zones of welds, very close to the fusion zone where the carbo – nitrides have re – dissolved in the solid steel matrix. The weldability of Brass Square Bars can be assumed to be similar, where neither of the grades can be expected to weld ‘easier’ or ‘better’ than – the – other. Niobium stabilized fillers (welding consumables) should be used for welding Brass Flat Bars, especially where elevated temperature weld strength may be important. In other circumstances, Brass Threaded Bars should give a matching weld metal aqueous corrosion resistance to that of the ‘parent’ material.
Resistance to sensitization is achieved in Brass Hollow Bars with titanium additions to stabilize the structure against chromium carbide precipitation, which is the source of sensitization. Brass Hexagonal Bars are more resistant to general corrosion and pitting / crevice corrosion than the conventional chromium – nickel austenitic stainless steels. Brass Triangular Bars also offer higher creep, stress – rupture and tensile strength at elevated temperature.
This significantly reduces susceptibility to sensitization of Brass Bars in service by limiting the formation of chromium carbides. Brass Rods is fully heat treatable (solution heat treatment plus aging) in sections up to 25mm and can be employed up to around 400 Degree C.
