Pitting corrosion resistance increases in our Duplex S31803 Netting Wire Mesh with increasing chromium, molybdenum, and nitrogen contents. As such, this Duplex S32205 Woven Wire Mesh shows higher PREN (Pitting Resistance Equivalent Number) values than the typical austenitic grades. When exposed to standard medium of H2S sour gas for duration of 720 hours, our Duplex S31803 Spring Steel Wire Mesh has results that are comparable to a super – austenitic 904L.

This Duplex S32205 Fencing Wire Mesh is chemically balanced to obtain a two phase ferrite and austenite structure containing between 40 % to 60 % ferrite. A typical structure of our Duplex S31803 Fencing Wire Mesh is shown when the material was hot rolled and solution annealed.
