Hastelloy C276 Forged Socket Weld Cross Fittings is heat – treated in condition at 2050 Degree F, along with rapid quenched. The alloy tends to work harden but with the proper care, the alloy is readily hot and cold formed.
Hot forming should be performed within a temperature range between 1600 Degree F and 2250 Degree F (870 Degree C – 1230 Degree C) with heavier sections heated to a minimum of 2000 Degree F before forming. Annealing of Hastelloy C276 Forged Socket Weld Union Fittings after working is advised and should be performed at a temperature between 2050 Degree F and 2150 Degree F followed by a rapid quench in a protective atmosphere or in an agitated reducing quench bath.
