Sachiya Steel International is one of the Leading Manufacturer And Exporter Of High Quality Stainless Steel 304 Nipple, which is the standard molybdenum – bearing grade and second in importance to 316 amongst the austenitic stainless steels. Stainless Steel 304 Hexagon Reducing Nipple is the low carbon version of 316 and is immune from sensitization (grain boundary carbide precipitation); as a result, it is extensively used in heavy gauge welded components. Stainless Steel 304 Hexagon Nipple is usually regarded as the standard “marine grade stainless steel”, but it is not resistant to warm sea water. Stainless Steel 304 One End Threaded Nipple has good oxidation resistance in intermittent service to 870 Degree C and in continuous service to 925 Degree C.
Continuous use of Stainless Steel 304 Both End Threaded Nipple in the 425 Degree C – 860 Degree C range is not recommended if subsequent aqueous corrosion resistance is important. In many marine environments, Stainless Steel 304 Concentric Swaged Nipple does exhibit surface corrosion, usually visible as brown staining. Stainless Steel 304 Eccentric Swaged Nipple, with its higher carbon content has application at elevated temperatures.
The molybdenum gives 304 Stainless Steel Nipple better overall corrosion resistant properties, particularly higher resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in chloride environments. Alloy 304 Nipple has excellent forming and welding characteristics, which is particularly associated with crevices and rough surface finish. The austenitic structure also gives Grade 304 Nipple excellent toughness, even down to cryogenic temperatures.
