Our Stainless Steel 310H Forged Hydraulic Fittings is a stabilized chromium ferritic stainless steel, combining good corrosion resistance with good formability and weldability. The corrosion resistance of these Stainless Steel 310H Hydraulic Type Fittings enables it to replace grade 304 in less aggressive applications. Our SS 310H Hydraulic Fittings has resistance in a variety of mildly corrosive media, where it also attains its maximum corrosion resistance when in the highly polished or buffed condition.
These 310H Stainless Steel Hydraulic Fittings has excellent resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in chloride environments. Chloride stress corrosion cracking (SCC) resistance of our Grade 310H Hydraulic Fittings is very high, as it is for all ferritic grades. The resistance of these Type 310H Hydraulic Fittings to acids is generally lower than that of 304, but performance varies for different acids, and these should be considered on a case by case basis.
In our AISI 310H Hydraulic Fittings, heat up to 790 Degree C – 870 Degree C, hold for only a few minutes and then water quench or quickly air cool, where it is important to not exceed 1000 Degree C. Slow cooling in these Stainless Steel UNS S31009 Hydraulic Fittings will cause embrittlement and raise the ductile – to – brittle transition temperature, so should be avoided.
