These Stainless Steel 347 Wires has good resistance to thermal fatigue and cyclic heating and is widely used where Sulphur dioxide gas is encountered at elevated temperatures. Continuous use of our Stainless Steel 347H Wires in 425 Degree C – 860 Degree C range not recommended due to carbide precipitation, if subsequent aqueous corrosion resistance is needed, but it often performs well in temperatures fluctuating above and below this range.

These Stainless Steel 347 Wires is prone to sigma phase embrittlement in the temperature range 650 Degree C – 900 Degree C. Our Stainless Steel 347H is generally used at temperatures starting from about 800 Degree C or 900 Degree C – above the temperatures at which they are effective.
